Northern Lights in Iceland

The Northern Lights is a phenomenon that can be best described as a carnival of lights with ripples of green sheen bursting across the sky. Experience Northern Lights in Iceland's volcanic landscape as you sip warm beverages and snack by a campfire.

Warm up as you test your drinking capacity with a local Icelandic when you sample the signature liquor - Brenninvin also known as Black Death!

Trust us,  Northern Lights Iceland is something you do not want to miss!

Highlights of the Iceland Northern Lights trip include :

- Blue Lagoon Spa : The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa located in a lava field in Grindavik on the Reykjanes Peninsula, southwest Iceland. The warm waters are rich in minerals like sulphur and silica and bathing in the Blue Lagoon is believed to have helped people suffering from skin diseases like psoriasis. The lagoon is a man-made lagoon which is fed by the water output of the nearby geothermal power plant Svartzsengi and is renewed every two days. Superheated water is vented from the ground near a lava flow and used to run turbines that generate electricity. After going through the turbines, the steam and hot water passes through a heat exchanger to provide heat for a municipal water heating system. Then the water is fed into the lagoon for recreational and medicinal users to bathe in.

- Walk across from Europe to North America : Leif of the Lucky bridge is a bridge between Europe and North America. You don't want to miss out on the Reykjanes Peninsula. This is the only place in the world where you can see the ridge rise above sea level, meaning you can view the boundaries between Europe and North America.

- Snowmobiling : A snowmobile is also known as a snow machine. It is a vehicle designed for winter travel and recreation on snow. It is designed to be operated on snow and ice and does not require a road or trail but most are driven on open terrain or trails. In Iceland, you have the opportunity to ride atop a glacier.

- Monster truck : A monster truck is a type of truck modified with a larger suspension and larger tires, usually for recreational uses. Experience monster truck rides in the Icelandic snow.

- Northern Lights in Iceland : Iceland is renowned for its illuminations, the Iceland Northern Lights being one significant example. This natural phenomenon, known as the Aurora Borealis, can be experienced in Iceland during winter, especially on those clear, crisp nights, where they appear in a variety of colors and intensity, either appearing gently in shades of milky green, or occasionally blazing in a wild and multi-coloured dance across the night sky.
